Diversity Training

The major reasons organizations strive to incorporate diversity are to improve productivity, remain competitive, and increase profits. Organizations must provide employees with skills for operating in a multicultural environment, so that employees can understand their own as well as other cultures, values, beliefs, attitudes, behaviors, and strengths and weaknesses.

Movers & Shakespeares teaches that Shakespeare's characters come in all flavors and colors; this is especially true in the "Merchant of Venice." These diverse characters are in the center of the action. Each faces prejudice. Yet none acts like a victim.

Hence Shakespeare shows the real problems "the other" faces in society.

But he likewise portrays the advantages of adopting diversity. Had Henry Vth not opened his English army to the Welsh and Irish, for instance, he could not have won the glorious Battle of Agincourt.

Movers & Shakespeares highlights the key elements of diversity training by pulling together some of Shakespeare's most famous speeches and scenes, teaching participants first-hand how to operate in a multicultural environment.
